Mangaluru: Search on for man who jumped into Netravati river

Mangaluru, Jul 4: In an incident that has come to light in the morning of Saturday, July 4, a person has jumped into the Netravati river from the bridge near Jeppinamogaru.

The identity of the person and the reason for this extreme step is not yet known. This bridge is becoming infamous for suicides and public is urging to put up a fence around the wall of the bridge to prevent people from jumping into the river.

Ullal police are yet to arrive at the spot as most of them are under quarantine due to coronavirus pandemic.

    Government planning to build fences both side of this bridge, suicide can not solve problems it increases problems of thier loved ones, my advice is in that new fence government they should put some pictures of families photos and some slogans with family emotions so that atleast some people can change their mind , thank u

    Sad he wanted to suecide?or wanted to go elsewhere due to some uneasiness?No fence will hold back one who wants to suecide .They will find other ways.Best is to have a helpline to people want to talk to someone in their sad moments ,help ,sickness etc.Due to corona many are now in a sad condition.But jumping to River is not a solution.Talk to someone as heads of organizations ,church,temple or other religious people.You will find find somewhere one or other help.Think of your family first before you commit .Hope they will find him soon.In Monsoon Netravati is very dangerous.one cant swimm so easily against current.
