Bishop Ignatius Lobo was a real image of the heart of Jesus. He lived a simple and noble life. One saw the perfect lucidity in his priestly life. He lived every instant for love of God and love of others. May his soul rest in peace.

Bishop Ignatius Lobo was noble, friendly and approachable. When he came to meet Fr. Alfred at Lower Kasarkod, he appreciated the service of Capuchin friars in Honavar deanery and in Binaga. Those departed friars - Fr. Bonaventure, Fr.Alfred, Fr.Walter, Fr. Ronald and Fr. Eugene who worked in that area were appreciating his qualities of mind and heart.

Those friars who know him are grateful to him for what he was to us and the honavar mission entrusted to our care. May Jesus, the good shepherd bless him with eternal bliss. Our love , gratitude and prayers to you beloved pastor of souls. May your soul rest in peace.

Sad to hear of Bishop Ignatius Lobo's death yesterday. My late brother Steven and I during our school days served as altar boys at Fatima Cathedral, Belgaum where he served as Bishop of the diocese. He was a nice person and a very able church administrator.May God grant eternal rest to Bishop Lobo's soul and may God also grant his loved ones strength to bear their loss.
