J&K govt orders all employees to attend office regularly from June 6

Jammu, June 5 (IANS): The Jammu & Kashmir government on Friday ordered all its officers and other staff to attend office on a regular basis from Saturday.

An order issued by the general administration department said, "All the officers and staff, at all levels, shall attend office on a regular basis on all working days with effect from June 6, 2020".

The order said employees who are at higher risk like older employees, pregnant employees and employees who have underlying medical conditions shall take extra precautions and should preferably not be exposed to any frontline work requiring direct contact with the public.

The order further said office management should facilitate work from home wherever feasible.

After the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic the UT government had ordered offices to maintain minimal presence by rotation of officers and other staff posted in various departments of the government.
