Mangaluru/Udupi, May 28: As many as 18 tested positive for coronavirus in Dakshina Kannada (DK) on the evening of Thursday, May 28 taking the day’s total to 24. Two more added to the tally in Udupi which took the day’s tally for the district to 29.

As many as 14 males and four females tested positive. All the 18 persons to test positive have travelled from Maharashtra and were under quarantine. 

With this, the number of cases in DK has increased to 105, out of which 69 are currently active. As many as 29 persons have recovered and been discharged, and seven deaths have occurred so far.

Meanwhile, in Udupi, two more people tested positive. Both to be tested positive are males who have come from Maharashtra. Both of them were under quarantine. 

As many as 149 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including a death. Three have recovered, and 145 are active.

Mangaluru/Udupi, May 28: Six tested positive for coronavirus in Dakshina Kannada (DK) on Thursday, May 28. As many as 27 tested positive in Udupi.

Two females aged 18 and 62, and four males aged 25, 36, 50 and 61, are the ones to be tested positive in DK. All the six persons to test positive have travelled from Maharashtra.

With this, the number of cases in DK has increased to 87, out of which 51 are currently active. As many as 29 persons have recovered and been discharged, and seven deaths have occurred so far.

Meanwhile, in Udupi, 27 people tested positive. Eighteen males and nine females are the ones to be tested positive in Udupi. Twenty-four have come from Maharashtra, two from Telangana and one from Kerala. All of them were under quarantine.

As many as 147 confirmed cases of coronavirus have been reported so far in the district, including a death. Three have recovered, and 143 are active.
