Bantwal, May 8: Ganesh Rai (42) from Peruvai Demechchi ended his life by hanging himself from a tree near his home. It is said that he was frustrated with his life either on account of loan burden or some other reason. A report about this suicide was filed in Vittal police station.
In the other incident, Narayana Poojary (55) from Alike, Attepila collapsed in Vittal. His death came to be known on Thursday, May 7. Reportedly, his death was caused on account of excessive alcohol consumption.
Poojary had left his home to visit Vittal downtown on Wednesday afternoon. He did not return home. During the search launched by his family, he was found to have slumped down to the ground in front of a shop at Vittal, Meginapete on Thursday morning.
On the basis of the report about excessive consumption of alcohol causing the death, Vittal police have registered a case.
