Udupi, Apr 10: The 'Corona Warriors', a team formed with the joint participation of public relations department of the state, Indian Red Cross Society and Labour training center is doing humanitarian service to the society without any expectations during this lockdown period which the whole country is experiencing in the wake of coronavirus pandemic.

There are more than 20,000 corona warriors throughout the state of Karnataka, out of which 260 are in the district of Udupi alone. This includes doctors, engineers, techies, social workers and students. They have created separate WhatsApp groups in the seven taluks of the district and are offering quick and required service to the public.

Most importantly, these corona warriors are active on all social media channels. If they find any fake propaganda regarding corona, they immediately send the same to the chiefs of corona warriors in Bengaluru. The chiefs over there verify the genuineness of the posts on social media from the respective department officials and convey the real message to the public through the same social media.

In the district of Udupi, the main organizer of these corona warriors is Suketh Shetty (Mobile number 8310155994). In Bengaluru Sahana (mobile number 9164448287) is working as the in-charge for the Udupi district. They can be contacted in case of any emergency or help that is required.
