Aligarh gets its first Covid-19 patient

Aligarh, Apr 9 (IANS): Aligarh reported its first Covid-19 positive case on Thursday. The 22-year-old man, who tested positive, is a resident of Ferozabad and had come to Aligarh on March 12 to attend a Jamaat event in the city.

He, however, did not attend the Tablighi Jamaat religious congregation held in Delhi's Nizamuddin area last month.

District Magistrate Chandra Bhushan Singh said that the youth had been hospitalised and was undergoing treatment.

His history of contacts is being tracked and those who have interacted with him during this period will also be quarantined.
