Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (SP)

Sullia, Apr 2: Over 34 persons who came into contact with a person who has tested positive for the presence of coronavirus are under home quarantine. Out of them, 12 were in direct contact with him and the others had come in his contact occasionally.

However, the people of the area where they are proposed to be home quarantined, have raised an objection. The 12 who were in direct contact have been shifted to hospital as they should be kept under close observation. The others are proposed to be home quarantined.

The health department along with the assistant commissioner had drawn out a plan to keep them in the hostels located at Kantamangala and Keremoole but the plan did not succeed. Locals have raised objection to the plan of quarantining them at a place which is located less than a hundred metres away from residential areas.
