Bantwal, Apr 1: Tashildar Rashmi S R took into custody a bike that was being used for roaming in B C Road and handed it over to Bantwal town police station.

She also directed CEO of municipal council to cancel trade licences of shops that are kept open for selling non-essential items during the lockdown period.

The tahsildar who came to know of people loitering unnecessarily, has personally got down to action.

The district administration has permitted to open only those shops that sell items of daily use. But some shop keepers have misused the provision and opened shops that actually sell items that are not essential. Customers are gathering in such shops.

Two such shops were open in the municipal council limits. The tahsildar has directed the municipal council CEO to cancel the trade license of those shops.
