Kundapur, Mar 31: The management of Hotel Parijatha here distributed food to more than 1,500 destitute and needy people during the lockdown period in the last eight days. Ganesh Bhat, the son of proprietor Ramachandra Bhat came forward to carry out this noble work.

The food included different varieties of breakfast prepared every day at 8 am, lunch with rice and sambar at 12.30 pm along with fruits, biscuits and water cooked by four cooks. They also served dinner at 8 pm every day. Besides, the restaurant also supplied about 200 meals to police stations in Kundapur, Shankernarayana, Amasebail, Kandluru, Kollur, Byndoor, Gangolli and several others. The team of 15 also looked out for beggars and migrant labourers to provide for. The noble work of the hotel received appreciation from all over.

Incidentally, a police officer who allegedly forced his entry into the hotel in an abrupt manner on Tuesday while the meals were being prepared, hurled abuses at the team, ordering to close the hotel and vacate the place. It is alleged that another non-vegetarian police officer expressed fear that the food may be poisoned.

The management of the hotel is hurt by the insults and inevitably stopped providing free meals to the weak, destitute, needy and hungry.

I am very sorry for the poor people. I am very sorry for the police officer who allegedly forced his entry into the hotel in an abrupt manner and hurled abuses at the team, ordering to close the hotel - because of his pride and ignorance of the goodness of others.
Realy the Police Officer and Polices need to give the Education on - the value of the person in time of suffering.
