Bagalkot, Mar 29: The coronavirus positive case is increasing rapidly in the Kasaragod district of Kerala. Accordingly, as a precaution, the district administration of Bagalkot placed 87 people who arrived from Kasargod to the city under quarantine.

Karadi village of Hunagunda taluk of the district has already banned the entry of natives who arrive from places like Goa, Mangaluru and Kasaragod. Also, an announcement is made to give the details of the relatives of such people who have come from these areas.

People of Bagalkot district are under panic by the arrival of their people from Kasaragod, Goa and Mangaluru. 28 people who came to Hunagunda are kept in the post-metric boys' hostel, 14 are kept in quarantine at Adarsha educational institute and 22 people are put up in Ashadeepa school of Asangi village under quarantine.

In Jalihala village of Badami taluk, 23 people are kept in the pre-metric boys' hostel under quarantine. It is said that the numbers of people that have gone to other parts of Karnataka, Goa and Kerala are more in taluks of Hunagunda and Badami. So care is taken to segregate and quarantine them as they arrive back to the district.
