COVID-19: Death toll rises to 34 in Iran


Tehran, Feb 28 (IANS): The death toll due to new coronavirus, officially named COVID-19, has risen to 34 in Iran, the Ministry of Health and Medical Education announced on Friday.

Kianush Jahanpur, head of Public Relations and Information Centre of Ministry of Health and Medical Education, was quoted by Xinhua news agency as saying that the virus had affected 388 people in the country.

Jahanpur said that Iran's government and its affiliated institutions are working hard to deal with the problem.
