Mangaluru: Thank you readers for helping Vinol and Jagannath

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (SB)

Mangaluru, Feb 27: Generosity coupled with love and prayers takes humanity to a whole new level. Daijiworld readers have proved the case yet again by helping Vinol and his family.

Daijiworld published a heart wrenching story of young Vinol Saldanha, suffering from B-Acute Leukemia Syndrome (blood cancer). Responding quickly, the readers have demonstrated their benevolence by helping Vinol.

Around Rs eight lac was contributed to Vinol’s family, who were struggling to make ends meet for his treatment expenses.

Vinol Saldanha

The doctors during medical check-up had found B-Acute Leukemia syndrome (blood cancer) in Vinol’s blood. It was the most shocking news for his parents and teachers. The depressed parents made all efforts to save the life of their son and have already spent over Rs two lac for his treatment.

As per the suggestion of the doctors, for getting specialized treatment, the parents of Vinol admitted him to Kasturba Hospital, Manipal and he is currently undergoing treatment in that hospital. The special treatment prescribes chemotherapy for the next two and half years which is estimated to cost more than Rs six lac and Vinol’s parents are unable to meet this unexpected huge amount of money.

“I completely broke down when doctors told me about the treatment and its cost. I work as a driver and it is difficult for me to collect such huge amount. I shared my sorrow with many, but could not manage the amount. Finally, I approached Daijiworld and the readers deposited money in my account. I believe that God came to rescue my child in the form of readers. My sincere thanks to all who helped me reading my son’s story. I will keep you all in my daily prayers,” says Vincent Saldanha, father of Vinol.

Rs 2 lac poured in as help for Jagannath Poojari

Daijiworld also published a story of Jagannath Poojari, a resident of Nandalike who has been suffering from throat cancer since October 2019. As a great humanitarian gesture, the worldwide readers of daijiworld.com, contributed Rs 2 lac for his further treatment.

Jagannath Poojari

Jagannath belongs to a very poor family and is the lone breadwinner. His wife Malathi rolls beedis. The couple has two young daughters, who are studying in school. The financial help from readers brought a ray of hope in Jagannath’s life. He is now under treatment and it will continue for the next few months.

We at Daijiworld, once again extend our gratitude to our readers who have supported a good cause, financially and through prayers. We thank our generous readers who have time and again supported the needy and given them a new lease of life. Your steady support helps Daijiworld to keep up the spirit of humanity high. God bless us all.
