Kanara Entrepreneurs Bengaluru conduct members' meet

Bengaluru, Feb 24: Kanara Entrepreneurs – Bengaluru (KE), conducted its members meet at Hotel Grand Magrath on February 21. The meeting commenced with the welcome address from president Charles Gomes.

After welcoming the members, Charles wished for an enterprising year ahead to the members, as this was the first members meet for the year 2020.

He also announced that KE will conduct its annual family picnic on May 31.



Associate director membership Pramod D’Souza inducted and administered the oath of membership to 14 new members to the KE Bengaluru fraternity.

The new members who joined in are as follows:

  2. Gail Lasrado - Event and wedding planner
  3. Boby Joseph – Director and CEO of Mactus Automation Pvt Ltd.
  4. Amith Nigli – Educationist and mobile app developer
  5. Gerald Manoharan – Partner with the law firm JSA Advocates and Solicitors
  6. Thejus Palathingal – Co-founder with Northward Financial Planners 
  7. Pramila D’Souza – Partner with Hindlaw Partners LLP and a legal services provider
  8. Lizzie Monis – Professional make-up artist and stylist
  9. Sunil D’Sa – Director of Leather Xplora and Poshium Lifestyles 
  10. Vincent Pinto- Wastewater recycling expert
  11. Prince Pinto – CEO and founder of My Roadrunner 
  12. Sanjay Thomas – Co-founder and director of Expressonic Global Solutions Pvt ltd
  13. Aavin Lobo – Assistant manager with KPMG
  14. Edward Rodrigues - Founder and CEO of SKA.in

With the general economic and financial slowdown, one feels the stress of running a business as well as the stress of debts and loans against poor business prospects. Keeping this in mind, KE chose well known chartered accountant and financial expert Mark D’Souza to speak about the topic 'How to cope with Financial Stress.' Mark touched on most aspects leading to financial stress as well as cautioned the members on the do’s and don'ts of running a business, along with the need to adopt ethical practices for running a successful business, which helps, in the long run, to keep one free from financial, personal and social stress.

Post the talk by Mark, five members presented their business pitch: Santhosh Sequeira - Expert in logistics and running a successful transport business, Sunil Pinto – Pest control expert, Roshan Crasta – Education tech expert, Royston Pinto – Part of a firm which expertises in luminous Signages, Vivek Cornelio – a web developer and design consultant. Director of mentoring Reshma Saldanha moderated this session.

After the business pitch session, Green and Spiegel made a presentation on 'Start-up Visa and Canadian Residency via Investment' which gave an insight on the prospects of penetrating the Canadian business market as a venture founder and the eventualities of getting a residency in Canada as a business investor.

Jose Paul compered the entire event and Cyana D’Sa proposed the vote of thanks before the members broke for networking, fellowship and dinner.
