Mangaluru: It is final - Pumpwell flyover to be inaugurated on Jan 31

Mangaluru, Jan 29: The long-awaited inauguration of Pumpwell flyover in the city will be held on Janauary 31 at 9 am by MP of Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency and president of state BJP Nalin Kumar Kateel.

Nalin Kumar Kateel inspected the progress of the Pumpwell flyover work on Wednesday, January 29. He was accompanied by MLA of Mangaluru city south Vedavyasa Kamath, MCC corporators Sudhir Shetty Kannur, Chandravati Vishwanath, Sandeep Garodi and immediate past president of BJP of Mangaluru constituency Santhosh Kumar Rai Boliyar.

NHAI officials were also in the contingent accompanying MP Nalin.

    It would be better if pending work is completed like CCTV Surveillance, water passage, under pass way bridge passage from kannakandy By-pass to Padil, Thokkotu and other places.

    Congrats to the whole team in accomplishing the completion finally. A lot of lesson is learned in Pumpwell flyover. I hope it doesn't create another issue on the side roads as this will create bottle neck once again which will take another 10-15 years to resolve.

    The Chinese city of Wuhan is set to build a hospital in six days in order to treat patients suspected of contracting the corona-virus. In 2003 Beijing hospital was built in seven days so the construction team is probably attempting to beat that record.

    In Mangalore the party is in power since 1991 still struggling to built one flyover after 10 years.

    The party which questions 70 years past of previous governance, nothing to show to public in 29 years of ruling.

    Y Jai. I agree there are hurdles, but it shouldn't take 10 glorious years to complete a flyover. That too unscientifically built. Just wait and watch for toppled vehicles and similar accidents

    My daughterwas in 1st standard when the flyover work began. Now she is in 10th standard..... What a great achievement of our govt..... which has taken 10 years. It will just be a shame if a inaugral programme is held.

    Finished in a hurry, left unattended for almost ten years, least priority given for quality control.

    Did NHAI issued clearance certificate for fly over inauguration? As per NHAI regulations, fly over height should be 5.5 meters, but this out dated design has only 4.5 meter height!!!
