Mangaluru, Jan 28: An appeal was submitted to the police commissioner requesting to take legal action against Power TV news reporter for his false report that Aditya Rao who had kept a live bomb at Mangaluru airport has links with Sanatana Sanstha.

“In the Kannada news ‘bomb sharanagathi’ of the Power TV channel on January 23 the false news that Sanatana Sanstha is behind Aditya Rao who had kept live bomb in Mangaluru airport was repeatedly aired as breaking news. It is completely false. There is no connection between Aditya Rao and Sanatana Sanstha. Sanatana Sanstha is only spreading spirituality and it does not give room for any illegal activity.

Power TV with the ill intent, to insult Sanatana Sanstha and for TRP has aired such false report. It has maligned the reputation of Sanatana Sanstha. Therefore, we urge you to take legal action against the irresponsible TV channel and concerned news reporter,” states the complaint by the organization.

The complaint was handed over to Laxmi Ganesh, deputy police commissioner, crime and traffic by Sanatan organization and other likeminded groups. Hindu Mahasabha state chief secretary Rajesh Pavitran, Madhusoodan Ayar, Sri Rama Sene’s Venkatesh Padiar and Lokesh Kuthar, Shashidhar Baliga, Suresh, Dayananda Volachil, Prabhaker Nayak, Upendra Acharya, Hindu Janajagruthi samithi’s Chandra Mogera and others were present.
