Vijayapura, Jan 27: Tik Tok app has revolutionized the way social media functions. Because of Tik Tok videos, an old man has become extremely popular. Within a month since he began to upload Tik Tok videos, he has earned over 70,000 followers.

The man is from Devanagaon village in Alamela taluk in Vijayapura district. His name is Prakash Ganiger (60). About a month back, he had bought a new mobile phone. A few children living in the neighbourhood had taught him how to use Tik Tok. Ganiger, impressed by the videos posted by Tik Tok users, began to upload his own videos through his mobile phone. Within a month, he has amassed over 70,000 followers and over nine lac likes.

Ganiger has a four-acre land in his village, and he lives with wife and one of his sons. He keeps shooting videos like when working in the field, sitting alone, doing other activities etc. The number of videos he has uploaded so far has exceeded 600. He is a well-known name now even in neighbouring Kalaburagi and Bagalkot districts.

Most of the people who have become Prakash Ganiger's fans are young boys and girls. He operates Tik Tok app on his own. A local, Ashok, said that Ganiger makes videos by keeping the mobile phone on the wall, roof, wooden logs supporting the roof etc and then uploads them.
