Mangaluru, Jan 27: Expert PU College celebrated Republic Day at Bhagavati temple premises. Prof Shivaram Prasad, lecturer in Physics hoisted the flag.

Addressing the students he said that there is unity in diversity in India. Every Indian should enjoy his or her rights and duties and actively involve in the progress of the country. The youth of the country should work hard in this regard.

The programme was presided over by the principal Prof Ramachandra Bhat. He said, "As we love ourselves we should also love our families, nieghbours and the country because they are the important parts of our life." He further said that India got freedom because of the hard work of many great personalities who sacrificed their lives and thus now we are living a self sufficient life due to their dedication.

All the heads of the departments and other staff were present.
