Karkala: 71st Republic Day celebrated at Kedinje school

Karkala, Jan 26: Kedinje Shri Vidyabodhini aided higher primary school, Nandalike-Abbanadka Sri Durgaparameshwari Friends' Club and Kedinje old students' association jointly celebrated the 71st Republic Day at Kedinje School.

Speaking on the occasion, Sandeep V Poojary, convener of Nandalike-Abbanadka Sri Durgaparameshwari Friends' Club said, "Indian Republic Day is celebrated with joy and happiness all over the country on January 26. This day is the day when our constitution was implemented."

Convener of the school U Sheshagiri Kamath hoisted the national flag. Member of school administrative committee Suresh Kamath, president of Kedinje school old students' association Beerottu Dinesh Poojary, president of Nandalike-Abbanadka Sri Durgaparameshwari Friends Club Abbanadka Satish Poojary and secretary Prashant Poojary were present.

Headteacher of the school Prithviraj Ballal welcomed the gathering. Associate teacher Rekha Pai rendered the vote of thanks. Honorary teachers Mamatha and Chethana Bharath were present.

The scholarship was distributed to the students of the school on the occasion.
