Bengaluru, Jan 25: The mudslinging game between political secretary to chief minister, M P Renukacharya and Congress MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan, continues unabated.

Renukacharya utilized the entire time of an emergency press meet he convened at his office in Vikasa Soudha here on Friday January 24 to personal vilification of Zameer Ahmed Khan and Dinesh Gundu Rao. He said that Zameer, who was involved with fake note manufacture, is a cheat. "Zameer was living by the roadside. Deve Gowda made him MLA for Chamarajpet constituency. Thereafter, he was always seen with Kumarawamy and projected his image of a strong loyalist of Kumaraswamy. But he deserted Kumaraswamy and he is a cheat," he said, duly addressing Khan in the singular.

He also launched a trade against Dinesh Gundu Rao for speaking about the former. "How many seats did he win in assembly and Lok Sabha elections as KPCC president? He has to set right his own party before speaking about me," he fumed.

Clarifying his position, he said that his statement about not giving special package and facility to Muslims is limited to his own Honnali constituency. He asserted that what he said does not bind the government and the party. He claimed that he had provided all facilities to Muslims in his constituency but was disillusioned by the fact that this community did not vote for him in the assembly election. He stated that the mosques there had issued Fatwa asking people not to take part in pro-Citizenship Amendment Act programmes. Therefore he said, he is compelled to take this stand.
