Beltangady: Man hacked to death by rowdy-sheeter near Guruvayankere

Beltangady, Jan 24: One person was hacked to death by a rowdy-sheeter late evening at Guruvayankere here on Friday, January 24.

Rowdy-sheeter Annu allegedly hacked Ramesh (40) to death.

The incident is said to have taken place at Shaktinagar near Guruvayankere at 9.30 pm. 

Annu is a resident of Guruvayankere. After murdering Ramesh, Annu tried to escape, but was caught by police. 

Police suspect old rivalry to the reason behind the murder. The accused is said to be a habitual offender who was expelled from the district.


A case was registered at Beltangady police station.
