Karkala, Jan 23: A team of delegates from Nidec, a Japanese company, visited NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte on January 21.
Harikrishna Bhat, Director, International Collaborations, Nitte, coordinated the visit.
Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar, principal, NMAMIT, Dr Shrinivas Rao BR, vice-principal and Dr Venugopal PS, associate professor, department of CSE were also present during the meeting.
The Nidec Corporation from Japan has conveyed its interest in setting up a Center of Excellence and having academic and research collaboration with NMAMIT, Nitte. Four students out of which two are from Information Science Engineering, one from MCA and one student from Computer Science & Engineering were selected for fully sponsored internship by the company for 45 days in Japan.
