Mumbai: Ganiga Samaja elects new office bearers

Mumbai, Jan 23: The executive committee meeting of Ganiga Samaja was recently held at their office, Gulraj towers, Kurla. President of the Samaja, Kutpadi Ramachandra M Ganiga presided over the meeting.

New office bearers for the year 2020-2022 were elected at the meeting. Bykady Vasudev Rao (B V Rao) was unanimously elected president.

The following were elected new office bearers:

Kutpady Ramachandra M Ganiga, honorary president; Vijayendra V Ganiga and Bhasker M Ganiga, vice-presidents; Chandrashekar R Ganiga, honorary chief secretary; Jayanth Padmanabha Ganiga, honorary chief treasurer; Jagadish Ganiga, joint secretary; Balakrishna Ganiga Thonse, Vidyodaya Committee president; Tara N Bhatkal, ladies wing president; Ganesh R Kutpady, youth wing president; Padmanabha N Ganiga, office in charge; Jagannath M Ganiga, U Balachandra Rao Katpady, Sadananda Kallianpur, Ramesh N Ganiga, G Kalinga Rao, Gangadhar N Ganiga, Seetarama Marali, Mohan N R Rao, Rajesh Kutpady, T S N Dinesh Rao, Dinesh Ganiga Bhayandar, Vinayak Bhatkal, Narendra Rao, Veena Dinesh Ganiga, Arati Satish Ganiga, Asha Harish Thonse and Mamata Devendra Rao were elected as executive committee members.

Outgoing president Ramachandra Ganiga presented a bouquet to the new president B V Rao and congratulated him.

Bykady Vasudev Rao hailing from Brahmavar, Udupi district was active in Ganiga Samaja Mumbai since its inception. He served for twelve years as honorary chief secretary and about six years as vice-president. He is well-known as promoter of Star Elevators Company and a successful entrepreneur of Mumbai.
