Squash prodigy Ahana is top of ESF ranking chart


New Delhi, Jan 23 (IANS): Rising squash star Anahat Singh has become Europe, Asia and India's No.1 in the girls Under-13 category. As per the European Squash Federation rankings published recently, Anahat is ranked No.1 in Europe in GU13.

Earlier this month, Anahat's brave run ended in the U-13 girls' title round when top seeded Egyptian Amina Orfi defeated her in the British Junior Open squash final in Birmingham.

She had earlier won two European superseries titles, the European Junior Open squash event and the DPD Dutch Junior Open held in July 2019.

In December 2019, she won the Scottish Junior Open.

Anahat has won 40 National circuit titles and is a two-time national champion and has six international titles in addition to the bronze at Asian Juniors and silver at Malaysian Junior Open 2018 and British Junior 2020.
