Mangaluru: Alumni Day of Milagres College Alumni Association held

Mangaluru, Jan 21: The Alumni Day of Milagres College Alumni Association (MICAA) was held on January 19 at 9.30 am at the college auditorium.

Praveen Nayak, KAS, deputy registrar of Co-operative Societies, DK was the chief guest and Prof Lourdusamy, academic advisor, was the guest of honour. Fr Michael Santhumayor, principal, Anju Thomas and Dr Mamatha N R, alumni coordinators, Ashish Bava, president of the alumni association were present on the dais.

Fr Michael L Santhumayor welcomed the gathering and appreciated all the former students for their active role in bringing a good NAAC Grade to the college. He also requested their constant support and wholehearted cooperation in taking Milagres to greater heights.

Praveen Nayak addressed the gathering on the importance of the alumni get-together and the need for their alma mater. He also emphasized that alumni should bring name and fame to their alma mater through their deeds and by becoming successful individuals in life. Being a government official, he encouraged the students to take up government jobs.

Cricket match was organized to entertain and bring a sense of unity and belongingness in the alumni. Various games were conducted to help students relive and cherish their memory in Milagres.

Around 60 alumni and staff were present at the programme. Ashwitha, faculty of BSc FND compered the programme and Ashish Bava, president of the alumni association thanked the gathering.
