Mangaluru: NSG team arrives - Conducts detailed inquiry into bomb scare incident

Mangaluru, Jan 21: National Security Guards (NSG) team arrived at the Mangaluru airport on Monday January 21 and conducted detailed inquiry about the improvised explosive device found on Monday, January 21 at the airport.

The team examined the areas in and around of airport and also where the bomb was found, and collected evidences.

Later, the NSG team visited Kenjar where the bomb was detonated. They examined the area of detonation and calculated the power of the bomb.



A team of National Investigation Agency is also expected to arrive in the city for investigation regarding possible terror links to the incident.

City police also have been investigating the incident.

Security has been tightened at the airport, railway station and New Mangalore Port at Panambur.
