Bicholim, Jan 19: Bicholim Bachao Abhiyan secretary Naresh Kadkade registered a complaint against six people for protesting near Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue circle on late Friday night. The accused were agitating against the Bicholim former MLA Naresh Sawal.
The police arrested Bicholim Congress president Meghshyam Raut, Bicholim youth Congress president Manoj Naik, Upendra Malik, Sada Ghadi, Darshan Raut and Nitin Parab.
The police acted on the complaint by Kadkade and have remanded the accused to two days of police custody.
