Bengaluru: 'Will expand cabinet after eight days," says Yediyurappa

Bengaluru, Dec 13: Karnataka chief minister, B S Yediyurappa, clarified that he will expand his ministry after eight days. He was speaking to reporters on Thursday December 12 evening after taking part in programmes in the city and at Tumakuru.

"Our national president, Amit Shah, is touring Jharkhand in connection with the election there. I have sought for an appointment with him on his return," he said. He explained that for the next four to five days he will not be able to visit New Delhi, "Once my appointment is fixed with BJP national president, I will hold discussions with him after which portfolios will also be distributed," he stated.

In reply to a question, he said that the high command will take a call on the issue of giving ministerial positions to defeated candidates. He expressed happiness about his party winning 12 seats in the by election and expressed satisfaction for being able to work without hassles for the remaining term of three and half years on account of people's support.
