BMC to get independent power plant

Mumbai, Dec 13: BMC has now received permission from the state government to start its independent power generation plant. The location of the plant will be on the civic owned, Middle Vaitarna dam on the outskirts of Mumbai.
 
 
Back in 2002 BMC election manifesto, Shiv Sena had promised to allow BMC to start an independent power generation plant after the completion of the Middle Vaitarna dam project. Fortunately for BMC, CM Uddhav Thackeray has allowed for the construction of the plant on Thursday.
