London: South Kanara Association holds ‘Christmas Dinner & Dance’

London, Dec 10: South Kanara Association (SKA), celebrated Christmas Dinner and Dance 2019 on December 1 in the grand environs of the Clay Oven banqueting hall.

Members and guests attended and danced to the fantastic music of the inimitable Chico. A festive environment was created by SKA members with Christmas tree and a wonderful Christmas crib. The afternoon started with entertainment for the children. Christmas carols were sung by the Vas family.













A very healthy looking Santa then made his appearance surrounded by his little helpers and distributed presents and sweets. There was plenty of dancing from ballroom to baila, Bhangra to Bollywood. Thrilling adult dance games, couples and children’s games and spot prizes. Everyone participated with great enthusiasm.

MC Jasmine Noronha entertained everyone throughout the event. The Clay Oven did not disappoint with delicious starters which flowed endlessly and this was followed by abundant and delicious dinner. There was exciting raffle draw with wonderful prizes. Special homemade Kuswar was packed in individual boxes and sold like hot cakes. Ex-committee members Zeeta Rodrigues, Nigel Pais, Prakash D'Souza and Patrick Goveas were honoured during the event.

The committee, and president Sunil D'Cunha, worked tirelessly to make the event a great success.

    Nice to see our mangalorean community enjoying festive season. the joy will be doubled when you help some needy back home as an association. Many manglorean associations in gulf and israel are doing this noble deed. high time cattholic community even from european countries, australia, newzealand, USA follow.
