Mangaluru: Doctors, members felicitated at Unity Alumni Meet

Mangaluru, Dec 7: Unity Alumni Association celebrated Unity Alumni Meet 2019 here at IMA Hall Attavar, on Saturday, December 7.

Addressing the gathering, Dr K V Devadiga, senior consultant neurosurgeon, said, "Today, communicating with the alumni has become much easier with social media. This also leads to cordial relation between the alumni and institution. Alumni can be the brand ambassador of institutions by making use of their skills. Alumni can even play an active role in mentoring students.”

Dr A V Shetty, senior consultant cardiologist said, "The alumni meet here has refreshed olden memories. Unity Hospital is the best hospital with services provided.”

Meanwhile, doctors and alumni were felicitated.

A special honour was conferred posthumously on the late Dr Iqbal Hussein. His daughter Dr Amina Asfiya received the honour. Among the other doctors honoured posthumously were Dr Aziz Assadi and Dr Sudhakar Shetty.

Dr M Annayya Kulal, president, IMA Mangaluru, Dr C P Habeeb Rahman, chairman, Unity Care and Health Services, Beena Pais, president, Unity Alumni Association, Alphonso Rahman, vice president Unity Alumni Association, and U K Khalid, secretary, were present.
