Music is the soul of the universe and gives life to everything. Right from the beat of the heart to the cosmic movements, everything has a ‘layy’. No wonder music can enthrall our hearts.

While individual notes have their own identity in music, their harmony creates a beautiful melody. Just like heart beats are basic to the human body, rhythm is the basic time element of music. Melody is the heart of music and rhythm gives it a structure.

When melody is accompanied with rhythm it creates a wonderful harmony. However when melody and rhythm are adorned by dance it creates a celestial aura and becomes a divine experience for the audience. The natraja portrays a highly spiritual place that dance enjoys in Indian art.

Keeping the traditional repertoire an innovative is presented. In this initiative, the sitar, tabla, vocal, harmonium and the ghungroo (dance) are brought together to soothe the soul of the audience and give them an unforgettable experience.

All music lovers are cordially invited to attend the programme and make best use of this rare opportunity.

The programme is co-sponsored by Canara Bank, Expert Group of Institutions, Mangaluru and School Book Company.
