Mangaluru, Dec 6: The Annual Day celebration of St Lawrence Higher Primary School was held on December 4.

Fr Andrew D’Souza in his presidential speech said, “The house where children live in is compared to heaven. Present day children should inculcate moral values and develop discipline in their lives.”

Chief guest Sangeetha Nayak, corporator, Pachanadi ward, said, “It is not sufficient if children learn only subjects in school. Importance should be given also to co-circular activities as well. Parents should encourage their children to build a better future.”

Chief guest Fr Cyril Lobo, assistant parish priest of Bondel church and vice president of Parish Pastoral Council Henbert Pinto, graced the occasion and distributed to the students and encouraged.

Headmistress Mary D’Souza presented the annual report. Gracy Fernandes welcomed the gathering. Janet Pinto mastered the programme. Helen Fernandes proposed the vote of thanks. Students showcased their talents. Faculty members and parents of the students were present.
