Mumbai: Model Co-operative Bank imparts training on Co-operative Banking to directors, shareholders

Mumbai, Dec 4: Model Co-operative Bank Ltd recently organized a training programme for the directors and shareholders on Co-operative Banking at Xavier Institute of Engineering, Mahim.

The training was conducted by Prakash Kondpalle, chief faculty of JSBL Solutions Pvt Ltd, Kothrud, Pune and Vijay Purshottam Bhave, director- JSBL Solutions Pvt Ltd.
The objective of the training was to sensitize the shareholders about the history of the Co-op Movement in Maharashtra and India, Principles of Co-operation, Analysis of the Financial Statements of Co-operative Banks, Rights of Registrar, 97th Constitutional Amendments and State Order of 2013 on Co-operative Societies. The programme was well attended by over 200 shareholders.



Prakash Kondpalle replied to the queries raised by the shareholders and stated that the bank has an impeccable track record, the performance of the bank for the FY 2018-19 is outstanding and the same should continue in the future.

Albert W D’Souza, chairman of the bank expressed his gratitude to the resource persons for conducting the training programme for the Board of Directors and shareholders and for sharing their views on the various aspects of co-operative banking.

The shareholders appreciated the bank for conducting the training programme and building the trustworthiness of the shareholders. Directors Vincent Mathias, Sanjay Shinde, Benedicta Rebello, Gerald Cardoza, Pius Vas, Thomas Lobo, Ancy Dsouza, William L D’Souza, general manager and CEO and Zenon D’Cruz, deputy general manager attended the function.

The programme was compered by Edward Rasquinha, manager.
