Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Central School athletes spin to victory at AICS Athletic Meet

Mangaluru, Dec 4: Mount Carmel Central School athletes excelled at the AICS Inter-School Athletic Meet 2019 of ICSE and CBSE Schools of DK district organized by Bhuvana Jyothi Residential School, Shirthady and held on November 30 at Moodbidri Swaraj Maidan.

The school claimed a wonderful sweep of 12 gold, one silver and 2 bronze medals and 3 students bagging individual championship and overall championship in Under 14 category.

The winners are:

Under 14 Girls category - Sweedle D’Souza of class VIII C - Gold in 100 mt, 400 mt, long jump and individual championship; Venessa D’Souza - Gold in 200 mt.
Also Sweedle D’Souza of VIII C, Venessa D’Souza of VII A, Aapti B Poojary of VI D and Eshal Correa of VI B - Gold in relay 4x100.

The Under 14 girls’ team bagged the overall championship.

Under 17 Girls category: Rochelle Tulip Pais of class IX B - Gold in 400 mt, 800 mt and Bronze in 200 mt and individual championship. Bhuvi of Class X C - Bronze in 1500 mt.

Under 17 Boys category: Hashir Shaikh Suleman of class X - Gold in 200 mt, 400 mt and Silver in 800 mt and bagged the individual championship.

It is a great record of moving forward. The school management and staff congratulate the athletes for their achievement and for bringing glory to the alma mater.
