Mangaluru, Nov 16: The annual day celebration of Vikaas Group of Institutions was held at Vikaas College premises at Maryhill on Saturday, November 16.

Moodabidiri MLA Umanath Kotian and Sri Gopalakrishna Temple Shakthi Nagara managing trustee K C Naik, inaugurated the annual day.

Addressing the gathering, Kotian said, "I can assure that Krishna J Palemar did not start this institution for the sake of earning revenue. This esteemed institution provides all kinds of facilities to the students and is also a platform for students to excel in their career."

He further said, "Vikaas College has gained name and fame in sports field as the institution encourages students in the sports stream. We should fix a goal in our life and be focused and dedicated to achieve our goal.”

Police Commissioner Dr P S Harsha said, "Pre-university in a key stage for students to decide and work on their ambition. You are privileged to study in this esteemed institution. I have heard many positive reviews about this institution. You need to strive hard to excel in your career and reach your goal.”

On the occasion, Dr P S Harsha released ‘Aakrithi,’ the college magazine and Vikaas Alumni Association website.

Academic director Prof T Rajaram Rao welcomed the gathering.

Vikaas Education Trust chairman Krishna J Palemar, principal Dr Sunil B M, dean Dr Manjula and others were present.
