Mangaluru: Valedictory of Expert Annual Sports Meet held

Mangaluru, Nov 15: The annual sports meet of the Expert Pre University College; Valachil came to a glittering close with Shreema Priyadarshini, an international star athlete participating in the valedictory function as the chief guest.

Motivating the participants in her address she said, “Never listen to your body over your mind when you are in the pursuit of an achievement. Always have the hunger for success and work hard. When a thought pops up in the mind to give up, ask yourself why you had started it.” She also narrated her own success journey and urged the students to make the best use of the available opportunity and do something unique. She gave away the prizes to the winners of various events and championship.

Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions presided over the function and congratulated all winners and participants in sports and games. He advised them to draw inspiration from achievers like Shreema Priyadarshini who succeeded only because of sheer hard work.

Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions in her motivational address to the students reminded them that they have more potential than they think of. She also honoured the chief guest of the day by presenting a memento.

Dr N K Vijayan Karippal, principal Expert PU College Valachil, graced the occasion. Dr Narayana Kudva N, lecturer in chemistry welcomed the dignitaries and anchored the programme. Balakrishna Shetty A, HOD of chemistry and programme director rendered the vote of thanks.
