Mangaluru: ‘SAGA-2K19’ at Srinivas Institute brims with culinary talent

Mangaluru, Nov 8: Srinivas University College of Hotel Management & Tourism organised a ‘Cooking Without Fire’ competition as part of ‘SAGA-2K19’ for the students of PU level at its campus on November 7.

As many as 50 students from different PU colleges in and around the city participated in the competition. Sujatha Shankar, programme co-ordinator welcomed the participants who exhibited excellent talent and teamwork and came up with attractive and appealing preparations.

The first prize was won by Bhoomika and Dhanushree from Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru, second prize was won by Abdul Shazeem and Akif Ibrahim from Rosario PU College, Mangaluru and the third prize was won by Amritha and Nisha from MGM College Udupi.

The prizes were also awarded for Best Dessert, Best Main Course and Best Mocktail to Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru, Sharada PU College, Mangaluru and Narayana Guru PU College, Mangaluru respectively. Special prizes were awarded to Ganapathi PU College for overall performance. Professor Swaminathan S, dean, College of Hotel Management & Tourism addressed the participants with the purpose of competition and appreciated the efforts and talents of the participants.

Sanath Shetty, president Student Council delivered the vote of thanks.
