Wishes galore on Amit Shah's birthday, Rahul Gandhi keeps mum


New Delhi, Oct 22 (IANS): Wishes poured in for Amit Shah on Tuesday which happened to be his 55th birthday, but interestingly, the face of the opposition Rahul Gandhi chose to keep mum.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah was wished by many across all sections of the society. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP working president Jagat Prakash Nadda wished the Home Minister on Twitter.

Modi extended his birthday greetings to Shah, describing him as a hard working person who is playing an important role in keeping India secure.

"Birthday greetings to my colleague in the Union Cabinet, a hard working, experienced and an able organisational person. While playing an important role in government, he is making a valuable contribution to make India stronger and safer," the Prime Minister wrote on Twitter.

BJP Working President Nadda wished Shah on his birthday and lauded him for making the BJP the world's largest political party.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended birthday wishes to Shah calling him a hard working and skilled strategist.
