Udupi: Workshop on moulding clay figures held at Hosabelaku ashram

Udupi, Oct 21: A workshop on moulding of figures out of clay was inaugurated by international artists Ramesh Rao and well known psychiatrist Dr P V Bhandary in the company of Hosabelaku orphanage residents as part of Food Day on Sunday October 20, here.

Famous Clay artist Venky Palimaru and sand artist Srinath Manipal taught the residents how to prepare items out of clay. Participation by all age groups from 3 years to a 99 year old elderly woman was a specialty of the seminar.



More than 50 people took part. Ashram residents played in clay and expressed their joy. Social activist Mahesh Takur, Hosabelaku founder Tanuja Tarun, Vinayachandra, Udupi municipal councilor Manjunath Manipal, Vijayalaxmi Saralebettu, Ramanand Samantha, Dr Viroopaksha and elite were present.
