Bagalakote: Let Congress, JD(S) and BJP run government together - Pejawar Swamiji

Daijiworld Media Network - Bagalakote (MS)

Bagalakote, Oct 21: "All have to work together for the prosperity of our state. We are concerned about the well being of the state of Karnataka. Congress, BJP and JD (S) have to unite and run the government," said Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji of Pejawar Math.

Speaking at a press conference, Swamiji said, "The argument that Lingayat and Veerashaiva are different, needs to be kept aside. All are one. Whole Karnataka has to unite. There should not be any demand for separation. All the Dalits and Brahmins should unite. The formation of Akhanda Karnataka should take place."

"There is no animosity or internal rivalry between state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel and chief minister Yediyurappa. Yediyurappa is doing a good job as the chief minister. We are waiting for the verdict on Ram Mandir. I had received a call from Ravishankar Guruji. He had said that the negotiation is a success but some sections of Muslim community have not agreed to the negotiation. This issue should be resolved through negotiation. Then there will be harmony everywhere. This is my view," said Swamiji.

Asking not to take any action on MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal, Swamiji said, "No action should be taken against MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal. He has not said anything with bad intention. He has only given statement with the intention of giving flood relief to the affected victims. I will write a letter to the BJP leaders and urge them not to take any action against Yatnal."

"The statement given by CM Yediyurappa of releasing water from the Krishna River of Bagalakote to Maharashtra is correct. All have to live in harmony in this country. Cooperation among states should increase. People of Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu should live in harmony," said Pejawar Shree.

Very good suggestion. Unfortunately this is not going happen in Karnataka, because most of the MLA' s are hungry for power and money.

When you see him, do address him like 'daane vishwanna, encha ullar'?
No right? So he not equal to aam admi. He has a position above that.
He is a religion leader with many devotees following him and so he has to restrict his actions to religion. Devotees like me have different political view.

Peiple join politics for personal gain and not for public welfare. Congress, BJP or JDS will never unite together as it will not benefit them. Its all about dividing sections of society and ruling over them.

Swamiji, Your statement is welcomed but you need to call all these political party leaders and give them some moral as well as ethical lessons to rule without corruption and injustice to common people. Then only there will be Ramarajaya.

Mutts/temples get funds from all political parties, political leaders of different parties...even day to day donations are also coming from devotees allegiance to different parties...Temples have regular offers and marketing to donors, donors for various purposes of the temple,,,,Donors are much more important than devotees who cannot donate good sum... so they cannot talk all the time in favour of one party only...no. of footfalls will fall come down...so even though real love and affection may be for one party, they have to make periodic statements and public utterances to please one and all...

Swamiji has each and every right to give his opinion and even to take part in politics. He is Indian national, He owns Indian passport and he pays taxes to the government as well. Also where it is mentioned in the constitution that spiritual leaders are not supposed to give their opinion or should not take part in politics?
