Woman avoids paying extra baggage fee by wearing 2.5 kilo clothes

Daijiworld Media Network - Manila (SR)

Manila, Oct 20: Many of us often face problems at airports regarding overweight baggage and end up paying the extra fee. Here, a Philippino lady found an interesting way to avoid paying extra by wearing clothes worth 2.5 kg on her body.

To reduce her luggage weight, Gel Rodriguez from Philippines found this interesting way of wearing overweight clothes, instead of packing them. She shared an image of herself, wearing the clothes one by one and looking like Joey Tribiani from an episode of Friends, which went viral on social media. Interestingly, her stunt helped her to escape from paying extra charges without missing her flight.

When Gel was informed by the authorities that her bag was 9 kg and exceeded the permitted weight of 7kg, she removed some of the clothes from her bag and wore them one on top of the other. Finally Gel managed to board the flight with 6.5 kg baggage.

Earlier, in July, another video of a man from Scotland went viral for putting on 15 shirts in an airport to get his luggage within 7kg.

I wonder why passengers are crying to pay for extra baggage? When they pay that much for Air Ticket, how much burden it will be. No common sense.
