Goa police issue time constraints for Diwali

Panaji, Oct 19: The Goa police have announced that hat fireworks and loud music on Diwali will be only allowed until 10 pm.The rule was put in place after the music and fireworks at late hours began bothering the senior citizens and school kids.
 
IGP Jaspal Singh stated that the restriction was passed after considering the religious beliefs of the festivals. Therefore, the music and fireworks are not completely banned but come with a time constraint.
 
For efficient monitoring, PCR vehicles will be deployed during Diwali and are required to work swiftly whenever they would receive a complaint.
 
 
According to the IGP, there may be further restrictions issued by the state government.
