Mangaluru, Oct 17: In a freak mishap, a fire reportedly broke out at a tyre shop belonging to K C Suresh in Bibi Alabi Road, Bunder, on the night of Wednesday, October 16.
After passers-by noticed the fire, they informed the owner at around 10 pm to immediately arrive at the scene.
The police and fire brigade were also informed, who worked swiftly to contain the fire. As per sources, the cause of the fire is reported to be an electrical short-circuit.
Once the fire was put out, the owner estimated the loss to be over Rs 15 to Rs 20 lac.
