Bengaluru: Wife of Mantri Developers CMD prevented from flying to Singapore

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Oct 17: Snehal Mantri, wife of chairman and managing director (CMD) of Mantri Developers (Pvt) Ltd, Sushil Mentri, was briefly detained on her arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport at Delhi to fly to Singapore. Indian Express said that Snehal, who happens to be one of the directors of the city-based real estate group, Mantri Developers, was stopped on account of a lookout notice in cheating case. The lookout notice was issued by the union ministry.

It is learnt that eight first information reports were registered against Mantri developers as some buyers of houses had lodged complaints, accusing the management of Mantri Developers of cheating.

The union home ministry had issued the said lookout notice based on a request made by the Cubbon Park police here to that affect. Such a notice was issued against Snehal Mantri, her husband, Sushil Mantri, their son Prateek, and six others.

The immigration officials at Delhi airport, who stopped Snehal Mentri from boarding the flight to Singapore, contacted Cubbon Park police. The Cubbon Park police reportedly did not insist on having her custody as notice had already been served to her seeking her personal appearance for questioning. Later, she was sent back from the airport, the Indian Express stated.

It is learnt that the lookout notice was issued as the police suspected that the concerned might fly out of the country.

Finally, Govt. has woken up after so many big looters/fraudsters/scamsters/420s have escaped/flown away from the country. As the saying goes: 'better late than never'. Mantri Group are one big group who had cheated many flat-buyers and managed to escape prosecution due to their high-level connections. Now, finally, they have run out of luck. Hope the legal process is strengthened and speeded up to put an end to cheating/looting/scams which are taking place in all the sectors, including the banking industry.
