Udupi, Oct 17: Reports received from Malpe said that a fisherman who was engaged in deep-sea fishing, lost his balance and fell out of the fishing boat into the deep sea. He lost his life in this tragic incident. This incident is said to have happened on Tuesday, October 15.

The deceased was Jaya Salian (54), resident of Kodavoor. He along with some other fishermen had left for undertaking fishing in Sri Gurubrahma Purse Seine Boat on Tuesday from Malpe port. When the boat was about 20 nautical miles away from the port, Jaya along with others was pulling at the fishing net when he accidentally lost balance and fell into the sea.

A case relating to this incident has been registered in Malpe police station.
