Bengaluru, Oct 16: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) is preparing for a legal battle against the state government over non-implementation of code of conduct in 15 constituencies which will go to bypoll shortly. KPCC is of the opinion that the government was also wrong in appointing eight BJP leaders as heads of corporations and boards.
KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao, has filed petition in the state high court, raising question marks on the government's move to release funds to these 15 constituencies. He has named state chief electoral officer, chief secretary of the state government, chief commissioner of central election commission, and secretariat of the election commission as defendants.
