Karkala: Catholic Sabha Belman unit holds Pratibha Puraskar programme

Karkala, Oct 16: Catholic Sabhha, Belman unit held 'Pratibha Puraskar' programme at the Mini hall of Belman church on Sunday, October 13.

Students of SSLC, PUC, graduation and post-graduation, who have passed the examinations with distinction were felicitated with trophy and certificate on the occasion. In addition, first, second, third prizes and consolation prizes for all those who participated were also distributed during the programme.

The programme was presided over by parish priest of Belman church Fr Edwin D'Souza. Deocon Ivan Martis, chief guests Alwyn Agera, vice president of parish council, Dominic Andrade, convener of 18 commissions, Sr Gladys, Sevrin D'Sa, president of Catholic Sabha and Janet Britto, secretary were present on the dais.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr Ediwn D'Souza said that one tastes success in life only when he or she gives value to the words of parents. Rochel D'Cruz of Belman church, who has cleared the CA examination was felicitated on behalf of both the Catholic Sabha and the church.

Sevrin D'Sa welcomed the gathering. Janet Britto rendered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Lydia Aranha.
