Mangaluru, Sep 23: Principal of Manipal school of Nursing, Manipal Dr Leena Sequiera inaugurated the 62nd batch of general nursing and midwifery programme of Father Muller College of Nursing (FMCON) here at decennial memorial hall of Father Muller Medical College and Hospital on Monday, September 23.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Leena Sequiera said, "I congratulate the students for opting nursing as their profession and also selecting Father Muller’s institution. The quality of taking care of the patients is very important and it should start from day one. Take responsibility of learning. If you find any kind of difficulties, then seek help from the faculty members, make use of the opportunities you get in this institution and have positive thinking. These are things you should keep on your mind.”
Director of Father Muller Charitable institutions Dr Richard Coelho said, "Father Muller is the pioneer of nursing in the state. In the past 61 years over 2500 nurses have passed the course and are serving at different corners of the world. God has inspired you to take up nursing as your profession.”
Principal of FMCON Jasmine Saritha Vas welcomed the gathering. Administrator Fr Rudolph Ravi D’Sa, Fr Ajith B Menezes and others were present.
