Shivamogga: Man gives triple talaq to wife through WhatsApp

Shivamogga, Sep 19: A husband, who led marital life with his wife for 21 long years, divorced his wife by sending 'Talaq' message thrice through WhatsApp.

Wife, who is shocked by the behaviour of her husband has approached the women police station of the city seeking justice.

Ayesha Siddiqua, a resident of Tank Mohalla in the city had married Mustafa Baig of the same locality 21 years ago after falling in love with him. Mustafa, who is a CCTV camera and laptop technician in Dubai, used to visit his wife and adopted daughter twice in a year. He also used to send money every month to Ayesha. However, this time, after his return to Dubai in the month of January, he has sent Talaq message to his wife on WhatsApp.

Ayesha who did not agree his Talaq message on WhatsApp tried to speak to him, but he sent two more messages of Talaq on WhatsApp. Though Ayesha pleaded Mustafa not to give Talaq, he did not listen, which has forced her to approach the police station.

Ayesha Siddiqua also said that she will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he has brought the Talaq prohibition law.

    Do you really think Modi would help ? He calls himself chowkidar.
    My experience with chowkidars in some buildings is this:

    They never do any job properly
    They help only some families, who give them handsome tips
    They have friendship only with people who listen to them and appreciate their work
    They are never available during urgent and emergency situations
    Why ? Because they spend most of their time with chowkidars of other bldgs.

    Ayesha Siddiqua, was married for 21 years. Her husband divorced her in a jiffy.... This lady, now wants to meet PM Modiji, to punish her spouse !!!!!! These episodes, will continue.... as it is legally permissible, to have wives and concubines in Islam.... This lecherous man, must be prosecuted as per law.... Tragedy is that, the psuedo secularists, partisan lobby, will raise a hue and cry, claiming an assault, on their religious ideology !!!!

    A person who used to visit his wife and adopted daughter twice in a year. He also used to send money every month to Ayesha. However, this time, after his return to Dubai he has sent Talaq message to his wife on WhatsApp! what could be the reason for this divorce?
    After reading the aforesaid message i assume, the husband who was faithful to his wife for all 21 years and he used to take care of his wife and adopted daughter for all these years, might have noticed something abnormal during this trip. The abnormality could be extra marital relationship of his wife, hence after returning to Dubai he used WA to divorce.
    Please put yourself in his shoe, and decide what would you do in such situation.

    Earlier, when one pronounced tripe talaq, a brand new wife was coming, but today, police come instead. In the situation narrated by you, best thing would be abandoning. But, that is not the solution, it is not acceptable, since one cannot leave the wife in the lurch. If I were in that position, I would go by the legally and morally acceptable action.

    The triple talaq law raises some interesting questions. Was the law designed for What'sApp? How valid is that faceless impersonal talaq in (private) international law and is it prosecutable in India? In the instant case, it seems to have some positive merits..

    ShainazJ Mumbai, here I feel you are supporting the man ?never mind ,I feel here sorry for the woman.I feel the husband was visiting wife twice a year,sending money regularly ,and nothing more was happening between them.why he had not taken his wife to him for a longer time?twice a year means howlong he used to stay with them?I feel he had some extra marital connection there.Only money and visit was the connection to him?Was no love left between them after so long as married life?If wife had extra marital connection he has to proove before giving Talaq.May be he wants a son with another wife?Or has one already.?looks simply it was only platonic life between them .Now woman can do nothing she should accept it and beginn a new life without him but assure that he supports them in future too.

    Whenever spouse is arrogant and stubborn, wanted to divorce on his / her own benefit, make sure that you print invitation for the same like you have done for wedding , call priest, Imam or Pujari and some relatives and the same MC (Master of Ceremonies) Order food

    Put all your points in front of them. Let the people know or decide who is at fault.

    Believe or not I told this to my beloved wife and she knows that I will do it. Some one has to set the example in the society to remove the filthy disease.

    I am sure this mustafa having some kind of relationship with some other lady (ies)
    If mustafa wife check his mobile everything will come out
    According to my considerations mustafa may stored the lady name alike a man name .
    There are many guys like mustafa
    Some will be caught easily and balance ones are so clever that nobody knows what they do !
